Sending a text
How to Send a Text
Please send your text as an attached file. Our email address is: info@EnglishforResearch.com
When we receive your text, we will:
- Reply by email by next working day confirming receipt of your text
- Tell you how much your text will cost
- Tell you when your text will be completed
About your text
Please tell us:
- Whether you require British or US English or other English variety
- Your target journal or publication, if any (this helps us to edit to the journal's or publisher's language guidelines)
- Whether you require standard or express service
Billing information
We are unable to begin a text without a billing address. Therefore, please tell us:
- The full name and address of the billing person or organization
For European Union customers:
- Tell us if the billing person or organization is VAT registered, and if so, the VAT number (under EU regulations, we must charge VAT to European Union customers who do not include a valid VAT number)
There is no sales tax for customers outside the European Union or for VAT-registered universities, companies and organizations in the European Union outside the UK. For private individuals in the EU, prices are plus 17.5 percent VAT.

File formats
We are able to accept the following file formats:
- Microsoft Word (Windows and Mac)
- Rich Text Format (RTF)
- Plain text
- PowerPoint
- Excel
- HTML
If you use another program or format, for example PDF, WordPerfect, StarSuite or Scientific WorkPlace, we recommend that you convert your document to Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format (RTF) for language editing.
If your file is very large, for example over 5 MB, we recommend that you compress it before sending (we can accept most compressed file formats). We are also able to accept very large texts on CD-ROM. If you are having a problem sending your text by email, see our FAQ and help page

On completion
When we return your completed text, you receive:- Your completed text including any comments. Changes in your text are marked in bold
- An invoice in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, which can be paid by credit, debit or charge card, bank transfer, cheque/check or money order. Full payment details are included with your invoice
